Looking ahead to The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show, London

ski show Looking ahead to The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show, London

It’s that time of the year again where the world of skiing and snowboarding heads to London and we all get super excited for the winter. With an action packed calendar of events, great food, and a host of exciting ski brands selling the latest gear, everyone here at Inghams is looking forward to visiting at the end of this week.

The Show is an excellent destination for planning your next ski or snowboarding holiday. Many resorts from across the world are represented and, of course, you must pop along to the Inghams stand to say “hello” to us in person.

These are just a few of the things that we’re looking forward to seeing and doing while we’re there:

Skiing with the stars

Well, maybe not exactly skiing, but it’s no secret that the Ski and Snowboard Show is a great place to spot celebrities – particularly those from the world of winter sports. Among this year’s star-studded guest line-up is Baywatch celebrity, David Hasselhof who will be representing Alpinresorts.com at the show.

On Friday 27 October, the Show will host the UK premiere of Depth Perception, Travis Rice’s latest snowboarding film. And there will be a chance to meet Travis and the rest of the film’s cast on the day.

Taking in a show

There is plenty of entertainment at the Ski and Snowboard Show. You can’t miss Mount Battersea. The 50ft kicker stands prominently at the entrance of the Show. Throughout the weekend, talented skiers and boarders will be pulling off the most incredible stunts. Make sure you’re there for the BRITS on Friday and ‘Jimmy’s Big Air’ on Saturday.

Also present at the show is Mayrhofen’s own Altitude Comedy Festival. Some of Britian’s funniest comics will be present, making us laugh through our noses as we try to drink our beer.

Eating ALL the food

Eating is definitely a favourite pastime for all of us here at Inghams. And nothing tastes better to us than genuine mountain cuisine. The Ski and Snowboard Show is a great place to sample tasty Alpine food. We particularly enjoy the burgers and tartiflette from the Alpine Street Food stalls, which whet our appetite for the tasty morsels we can look forward to on our ski holiday.

Christmas Shopping

With over fifty stands selling the latest ski and snowboarding gear, the Show is a great place to stock up on Christmas presents… For ourselves! Discovering the latest on-slope fashions and the newest tech is one of the best aspects of the Show.

Meeting you

And last, but by no means least, the Show is a great opportunity for us to meet you before you go on holiday. We’ve got our very own stand at the stall where we’ll be sharing our passion for ski, recommending the best ski and snowboard destinations, and there will even be a chance to win some prizes!

On Friday we’re offering a chance to win a ski holiday for two to Austria. On Saturday visit us to be in with a chance to win a pair of Atomic skis, courtesy of Snow+Rock, and on Sunday, you can visit our stand to enter our competition to win a ski holiday for two to Italy.

The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show 2017 runs Thursday 26 October to Sunday 29 October at Battersea Evolution in south west London. You can purchase tickets online on the Eventbrite website. Visit Inghams at stand number 617.
